Welcome to Arden: Your friendly Edinburgh Guest House

A Home With a Heart

The Arden Guest House presents you with the perfect mix of peace and accessibility. Located close to the Edinburgh bypass and A1 and with free private parking commute is no problem. There is also a bus stop no more than a minute down the road with frequent and efficient services through Lothian Buses meaning that you never have to wait more than five minutes to go to your destination, be it Princes Street, Haymarket and the business district, the Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, Arthur's Seat and Holyrood, Leith, or even destinations outside of the town centre such as Rosslyn Chapel. We are also one of the closest accomodations to the Royal Infirmary, and the Arden Guest House is beautifully situated across from Craigmillar Park, which leads up to the historic Craigmillar Castle.

At Arden, we are completely pet friendly, and they have ample space to wander about in our enclosed back garden area, or even to freely run through Craigmillar Park across the street. The Liberton Golf Club is also next door to us if that meets your recreational fancy. We are strictly non-smoking indoors, but you are welcome to do so in our patio area.

All of our rooms are en-suite with a hospitality tray featuring tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits. Included in the price of your stay is also a breakfast, where you may treat yourself to a full Scottish Breakfast, steaming porridge, and our buffet style continental slection.

Our staff works to be as helpful and friendly as possible, and if you have any questions, or anything you might need, please do not hesitate to ask and we will strive to accomodate you as best as we can

In the meantime, feel free to browse the rest of our site, or drop us an e-mail. We'd love to hear from you.

What's Been Said

"The Arden Guest House is so convenient for the City of Edinburgh, but provides a haven of peace away from the hustle and bustle of City life. The accommodation was clean and pleasant with a contemporary twist. Breakfast was served in the lovely bright conservatory overlooking the garden. The breakfast choice was good and the food arrived beautifully presented. I cannot fault the service and attention to detail. Thank you for a lovely stay. I'll be back again."

The facility was clean and the service was very good. We enjoyed the wonderful generous breakfasts in the very bright dining area. We'd gladly use this guest house again."
